Microsoft started its plan of testing Windows 10 insider preview builds for Enterprise edition
and Windows 10 business edition. They said, there is no particular manual action needed
to force it, the users like us, needs to follow the same procedure if we wish to update
windows (by settings-> Update & Security -> Windows insider-> Slow or fast ring).
But, the problem is, some of our users, in a eagerness to test the future build, will sign
up for the insider builds despite knowing they will have unknown bugs.
When it comes to organization, it should be error free right ?, so in this post let's see how to
prevent access to windows insider program if you are using Windows 10 enterprise or
Windows 10 business edition.
Do you need any software ?
No, since Windows 10 enterprise is an powerful edition, we don't need an software to do it..
We can do it through Group policy editor.
Here are the steps..
1) Press Windows (logo) + R Keys together.
2) Type gpedit.msc
3) Navigate to
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Data Collection and Preview Builds\Toggle user control over Insider builds
4) On the new window, that opens click on Disabled.
Note : Disabling this will make "Get Insider builds " option unavailable to users.
5) Click on Apply
6) Now again, click on OK
7) Close the window.
8) Restart your PC.
That's it...
Enjoy.
