1) sign in to your desktop.

2) Right click your mouse on the task bar.

3) Clicking on it will display options like Toolbars,Cortana,Show taskview Button,settings,etc..

On that click on Cortana.

i) If you wish to Hide cortana from taskbar then click hidden.

ii) if you wish to make cortana icon smaller ,then select Show Cortana icon.

In case,if you wish to replace or revert to normal,then simply follow the steps 1 and 2,on the Cortana option select Show Search box Option.
